After you’ve completed the sign-up process, all bookings will have coverage added automatically. To be sure the insurance cost is covered by the guest, do not forget to set up the charge on all of your reservations.

With SmartSTR Insurance™ coverage is available for houses, condos, apartments, etc. Any unit with more than one room is eligible for coverage.
Getting started with SmartSTR Insurance™ includes collecting your property information and valid credit card information. However, you will not be billed for coverage at this time. Before your first monthly billing cycle, we’ll communicate the date of your first payment and a breakdown of charges for covered bookings.
Yes! Up to $50,000 in contents coverage is included in SmartSTR Insurance™ and covers accidental damage to furniture and removable belongings. Common examples of items that are covered include broken lamps, wine spills on area rugs, bed bug infestations, and towel bars pulled from the wall that cause drywall damage.
This type of insurance covers accidental damage to the rental property's foundation and structure caused by guests during their contracted stay. Real property is considered items that cannot easily be removed. Examples of real property damage include damage to the floor or ceiling caused by an overflowing bathtub or damage to counters, ceilings, or walls caused by a kitchen fire.
Guest liability insurance covers the contracted manager of the property and the homeowner against legal actions and guest injury during a contracted stay. For example, if a guest slips and falls in a covered property resulting in a broken leg and medical bills, liability insurance would protect the property manager and homeowner.
The claims process is quick and easy. Be sure to report the damage as soon as possible with supporting documentation, and a claim examiner will review and follow up directly if needed.
Some common exclusions include: intentional damage caused by guests, damage caused by illegal activity, natural disasters caused damage, wear and tear from normal use of the property, and general maintenance. For additional information, please connect with our team!
